If we can see/feel/imagine ourselves where we want to BE, then we’ll be inspired to DO the things that will allow us to HAVE all that we want.

I am sorry for disappearing so suddenly.  I have no excuses (although I could come up with many).  But I would freely admit that all this had to do with my very poor time management.

I was so busy that I simply let things go by and before I knew it, I had simply lost the ability to do what I love… to share with you loyal readers.

In fact, last weekend was the first time in a long while that I met up with Tiat!

Busyness can easily overwhelm us if we do not know how to manage our time properly.  And I have learned this hard lesson in the last few months.  And these are some simple time management tips that I derived.

1. Write It Down.  If I don’t, I will surely forget it.  Create list of things to do.  Use whatever you are comfortable with.  I started using my diary but now use my new pda phone exclusively to jot down my to do list.  A friend of mine uses Post-Its.  When she gets home, she sticks all these on her wall board, grouping them in whatever clusters she likes.  And the feeling of liberation is so strong whenever she peels it off the board and throws it into the wastebasket.
2.  Look At What You Wrote!  It is no use writing it all down if you do not bother to read it.
3. Prioritize it.  My friend’s idea of using ‘Post-Its’ is really great because she can easily group tasks into different priority groups.  Some can be ‘upgraded’ while others ‘downgraded’.  But you get the picture.  Decide what needs to be done first and now.  Do the others later.
4. Slay the Procrastination Dragon!  I found that I usually do the easier things first and delay what I do not like to do to the end.  But in so doing, I never ever seemed to get started on them.  I had to forced myself to start doing the very things I always put off doing first.  But this works well and I find that once I get through them each day, the rest is plain sailing.
5. Take A Break! Kit Kat had the right idea because no matter how busy you are, you need to know and plan for some off time to get you back to the on time.

Answer: They show up. They practice and practice and then practice some more. That’s why they do so well in whatever career they choose - even if it’s not sports or music.

2. What’s the most powerful force in the universe?

Answer: Compound interest. It builds on itself over time. A small amount of money becomes a large amount of money. Persistence is similar. A little bit improves performance, which encourages greater persistence, which improves performance even more. And on and on.

Take some time to mull this 2 questions and the answers.

Let me ask you, if you see an opportunity in front of you, if you have a fabulous business idea, would you jump at the opportunity and work quickly towards it?

Yet, the truth is that many people take their own sweet time to chase after success!

- “The product is not ready!”

- “I’m not ready.”

A series of questions and self-doubt cropped up that choke the budding seed.

Do we know whether it will work? No one can be 100% certain. But what I know is that just doing it, just getting into action, is already half the battle won.

What we need to do is to adjust our sails in sight of our ultimate goal as we plunge in to the sea of possibilities.
